There has been wide spread protest against the recent released Ajay Devgn starrer 'Singham' as it contained dialogues against to the Kannada speaking people.
The screening of Rohit Shetty's 'Singham' was stalled in Bengaluru, Hubli, Raichur, Dharwad city theatres. The film, which also features Kajal Aarwal and Prakash Raj, has some objectionable dialogues that hurt the Kannadigas.
In a portion between Ajay and Prakash the dialogues hurts the Kannadigas is the reason for protest, says Karnataka Rakshana Vedike leader Narayana Gowda. The posters were applied black paint, cut outs were damaged and wild protest was heard on Friday morning.
According to Prakash there is nothing of that sort. It has been misguided. I am also aware of Kannadiga sentiments. For my role in the Hindi film 'Singham' the cop role Ajay Devgn says there is no need to bring people from Maharashtra and tum Jaiso Kuthto Ke Liye...mein he Kafi hoon, stated the actor, who plays the villain in 'Singham'
Prakash Raj urged the protestors to call off as there is nothing disturbing to sentiments of Kannadigas.
