Visually challenged singer Thirumoorthy came into the limelight a few months ago when a video of him singing the 'Kannana Kanney" song from 'Viswasam' on social media that went viral. Music director D. Imman who was floored by the twenty-two year old's emotional voice got in touch with him immediately and also gave him the chance to sing a song in 'Seeru' starring Jiiva.

Thirumoorthy who lives in Nochilpatty village in Burgur district in Tamil Nadu tested positive for COVID 19 on September 25th and has been admitted to the government care centre. It is said that Thirumoorthy has used water cans and his toothbrush to create music and is singing a lot of songs that are giving a lot of relief to the hundred-odd other patients admitted along with him.

Here is wishing the talented Thirumoorthy a speedy recovery and hope he soon gets to sing a lot more songs in Tamil cinema.
