Ever since the 'Suchi Leaks' scandal made the headlines in 2017 where she released controversial pictures of Kollywood celebrities, singer Suchitra has been maintaining a low profile. She was, however, back in the news yesterday, when her sister Sunita claimed that Suchitra was missing and allegedly even told that she was suicidal, causing a hospital in Anna Nagar to take her in, suspecting she was mentally unstable. However, later last night, Suchitra mentioned that there was a conspiracy behind her sister's act.

Suchitra has now taken to Instagram to offer an official clarification regarding the issue, assuring people that she is perfectly fine. Her post read, "Guys, I'm not missing or suicidal. My sister (yes, unfortunately) has given press releases saying so. There was no struggle when they picked me up at Park Sheraton, and I'm in a psych hospital (NOT Kilpauk) so that the police are assured I won't kill myself. The doctor has said that I'm Perf fine and can leave anytime. In the meantime please trust I'm okay and intend no harm to myself or anyone else."
