After testing positive for Coronavirus, legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam had been in critical condition in a private hospital in Chennai for a week, after his health deteriorated on August 13. Yesterday, for the first time his condition was pronounced stable by the hospital.

Today, the MGM Hospitals has posted an update that has SPB's condition remains the same as yesterday and that the veteran singer is under ventilator ECMO support, and his condition is stable. The multidisciplinary team in the MGM hospital have been monitoring SPB's health, and the team has been collaborating with experts from the US and UK, who have handled many covid19 patients who were on ECMO support.

All over the world, fans of the legendary playback singer have been organising prayers and numerous celebrities like Bharathiraja, Ilayaraja, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, A.R. Rahman, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu and many others from all over the country have been tweeting and showing their love for SPB, praying for his complete recovery.
