Singer Shweta Pandit goes through hell in Italy

Playback singer Shweta Pandit has had to restrict herself to her house in Italy because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Taking to Instagram, Shweta has posted a video clip in which she is seen urging Indians to take the coronavirus threat very seriously, given the unspeakable risks that it poses.

"I am having to wake up to the sounds of ambulance sirens every day. I don't know how it has come to this. But I don't want that to happen in India. So, please maintain social distancing and take this issue very seriously," Shweta says.

It has been more than a month since she has stepped out. Her husband, too, is literally locked-up. Given that the pandemic is at its most virulent self in Italy, they can't afford to go out even for essentials. Such is the dire scenario in Italy.

The singer is known for hit songs in Telugu movies such as 'Mukunda', 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', 'Panjaa', 'Bodyguard', etc.
