Young music director, singer and lyricist Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi is celebrating his birthday, today.
Today, more than being a film celebrity, Adhi, is now well known as a social activist who really works for the Tamil language, culture and people.
The best example for this is his activism for Jallikattu. It won't be overstatement to say that he is instrumental in creating awareness among youngsters about Jallikattu and the international conspiracy behind banning the Tamil sport intended make the local breeds of cattle become extinct. The awareness culminated as the statewide protests by youngsters which has won the right to conduct the traditional Jallikattu sport is the 'Takkaru Takkaru' music video released.
On the professional front Aadhi has many promising projects ahead. He is presently working on the re-recording of director K.V.Anand's 'Kavan' starring Vijay Sethupathi and Madonna Sebastian. As an ardent admirer of revolutionary poet Mahakavi Bharathiyar, Aadhi has used three of his poems as the lyrics for a song in this film. Using them in a mass medium like Tamil films will indeed go a long way in popularizing the great Tamil poet among today's youngsters.
Adhi's upcoming films as a music director include 'Imaikka Nodigal'. He will also be making his debut as a director and lead actor in 'Meesaya Murkku' which will be hitting the screens this year.
