Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. As reported by a news agency, she is one of the four persons who has tested positive for the novel corona in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

The playback singer is reported to have hidden her travel history. She was to UK earlier this month. The woman not only stayed in a five-star hotel but also mingled freely with people instead of quarantining herself.

India Today's Poulomi Saha reports, "Kanika had returned from the United Kingdom on Sunday, and hidden her travel history from the authorities. Upon return, she stayed in a 5-glowing star and attended a party with at least 100 people present. This is such criminal behaviour!"

If true, what Kanika has done is unpardonable. "First that bureaucrat ‘s stupid 18-year-old son in Kolkata and now Kanika Kapoor - just shows that so called “education”, affluence and privilege doesn’t guarantee minimum common sense. Imagine the danger they pose to our society!," laments film critic Stutee Ghosh.
