Singer Chinmayi is on cloud nine, as both herself and her husband Rahul Ravindran have been winning awards in various award ceremonies. Recently Chinmayi had won the best singer award for a Telugu song, while Rahul Ravindran had won the best original screenplay national award.

Chinmayi has been active on social media, creating awareness against sexual crimes against women and voices out on various social issues. She is one of the active personalities involved in the Me Too movement and has been tweeting constantly in support of the movement.

Today, she has tweeted praising Thala Ajith's Pongal release Viswasam, and called it a progressive movie. Her tweet read "Just got to watch Viswasam. Absolutely loved it. So heartwarming to see such a progressive film. Makes me so happy that this film did so well".
