Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi had last appeared on screen as the transgender Shilpa in Thiagarajan Kumararaja directorial venture Super Deluxe, a multistarrer that also had Samantha, Fahadh Faasil, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin and many others, and his performance won him rave reviews.

Next the actor was supposed to have another release this month, with Sindhubaadh directed by Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum and Sethupathi fame director Su Arunkumar, and the movie produced by Vansan Movie makers was initially announced as May 16 release.

However it has been learnt that Sindhubaadh might be pushed to June, as the May 17 date has been flooded with lot of movies releasing on the same day - Siva Karthikeyan - Nayanthara - Rajesh combo's Mr Local, SJ Suryah starrer Monster and fantasy adventure Thumbaa starring Darshan have announced releases on that date. An official announcement on Sindhubaadh's postponement is expected soon.
