Simrat Kaur is an interesting girl. As someone who is passionate about Karate (and she even trains children in her free-time), Simrat had never even faced the camera before 'Prematho Mee Karthik' happened to her by accident. By and by, she went on to bag the role.

"I am from Mumbai. And am pursuing B.Sc with Computers as major. I have been into national-level karate competitions. I was never interested in acting. The coordinator for 'Prematho Mee Karthik' happened to spot me on Instagram. When I was contacted, I told them that I am not interested in acting," she starts off saying.

But how did she end up doing the role? Her mother's persuasion is the reason. "This is when my mother convinced me to at least give an audition. I came to Hyderabad and when director Rishi gave me the narration, he also convinced me to do the film," Simrat adds.

Talking about her role and the film's premise, the youngster says, "While I am a bubbly girl in the movie, my co-star, Karthikeya, is largely untouched by emotions. But then when he falls in love with me, he undergoes a change. It was fun working with Karthikeya, who helped me with the Telugu language."

"I had no curiosity for films before I entered this field. But now that I have done 'PMK', I want to do more. I have already signed up to do a movie. And I will talk about it sooner than later," she signs off.
