It's known that Superstar Rajnikanth's 'Chandramukhi' (2005) is all set to have a sequel. As was reported recently, actor-choreographer Raghava Lawrence will be doing a major role in 'Chandramukhi-2', to be helmed by P Vasu and produced by Sun Pictures.

It has been rumoured that the superstar actress of the late 1990s and early 2000s, Simran, is going to replace Jyothika as the sequel's female lead. Turns out that the rumour is totally false. Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Simran said, "It is fake news. I am sorry to disappoint my fans. I wanted to clarify that I have not been approached for any such role for the movie. I kindly request you all to plz get it right before publishing it on any platform. Thank you."

The 2005 horror-thriller was a massive box-office hit in Tamil and Telugu. Also starring Nayanthara and Prabhu, it was a trend-setter.
