Nithin Ramakrishnan is the new young director who is raising expectations. The 21 years old director has just launched his first Tamil film ‘Uma Maheswaram’ which introduces Miss India Parvathy Omanakuttan to Kollywood.

Nthin Ramakrishnan directed his first Malayalam film ‘Apoorva’ just when he finished his schooling. Nithin knows Tamil well and is very impressed with the Tamil dance form Bharathanatyam. So he has ventured to do a film about Bharathanatyam in classical literature.

‘Uma Maheswaram’ is about the classical dance and Parvathy Omanakuttan who is an accomplished dancer performs the lead role. The script also has an important character that of the guru to the leading dancer played by Parvathy. The creative team has approached Simran to play the guru. But they were knocked for six by the exorbitant price tag Simran quoted for the film.

They even waited for two weeks to hear one final word from Simran. That word not forthcoming ‘Uma Maheswaram’ creative team after much deliberation is in talks with Nadhiya.
