Simran as old lady

That Simran plays the role of SuriyaÂs mother in Gautham MenonÂs ÂVaranam Aayiram is old news. The latest one is that she appears as an old woman in a scene.
The flashback scene has Simran sporting the old lady look perfectly, thanks to the amazing make-up. Suriya comes in different get ups in the film and Simran plays the wife of aged Suriya.
Though Simran doesnÂt play the lead role, she has been given a powerful role in which she could show her histrionic skills. Sameera Reddy and Divya Spandana play the female lead roles.
Simran, who also has a song in ÂVaranam AayiramÂ, is said to have requested the unit not to release the still showing her as an old lady.
