Director Rohit Shetty, who had last directed the successful Golmaal again, has yet again scored a box office success, with his recent release Simmba. The movie, which is the official remake of 2015 Tollywood hit Temper directed by Puri Jagannath and starring Jr NTR and Kajal Aggarwal, has been minting huge money at the box office.

Starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood, Simmba, released on December 28, has been enjoying an undisputed run at the box office, and has collected a massive 124 crores net within just five days of release. With Ranveer Singh craze in peaks, the special cameos of Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar, and Shahrukh Khan's latest offering Zero failing to draw crowds, the collections of Simmba are expected to race past 200 crores soon, and create new box office records.

Simmba is the eighth movie of Rohit Shetty to enter the 100 crores club after Singham, Singham Returns, Golmaal 3, Golmaal Again,Bol Bachchan, Chennai Express and Dilwale, and Rohit has become the director with maximum movies in 100 crores club. As far as Ranveer is concerned, this his fourth century, after Ram Leela, Bhajirao Mastani and Padmavat. Rohit Shetty will next join hands with Akshay Kumar for Sooryavanshi, another cop flick.
