The much publicized Vallavan that has Silambarasan playing the lead role besides directing the venture went to floors on Wednesday.

The movie stars three heroines Sandhya, Nayantra and Reema Sen.

Huge posters were put up in various parts of the Chennai for the movie's muhurat. An poster apparently featuring Silambarasan and Nayantra has landed the film crew in trouble.

Even before the movie could get on, troubles have begun in the form of protest. It is reported that following representations from some women's organizations, the Chennai City police have registered case against the producer P L Thenappan, Silambarasan and Nayantra.

It may be recalled that a vinyl hoarding of "Kana Kanden" starring Srikanth and Gopika had to be removed last month following instructions from police at Mount Road .

Now this poster, that has Simbu biting into Nayantra's lips, is creating a huge stir.

But Simbu might be thinking any publicity is good for the movie.
