Simbu made a massive comeback to films with Venkat Prabhu's Sci-Fi thriller 'Maanaadu' which released to both critical acclaim and box office success in 2021. He followed it up with another big hit 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu' directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and produced by Vels Films International.
The multitalented star recently made a friendly appearance in Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' dancing for the super hit song "Thee Thalapathy". He then jetted off to Thailand to undergo martial arts training as well as intensive body workouts. It is reported that it will take a few more weeks for STR to return to India and start his next biggie.
Meanwhile Simbu has officially posted his workout progress report card that has stunned the film industry as well as fans. In three months time has gone from a progress of 11 percent active days to 100 percent in February upto the 18th. This update is a clear indication that the much loved hero is going to comeback much leaner and meaner to give fans and audiences an absolutely fit look soon.
Intense training and weight loss is not anything new for Simbu as very recently he went from over 101 Kgs to under 70 Kgs for 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu'. He completely transformed his body to play a twenty something character in the gangster flick.
Simbu's current movie 'Pathu Thala' directed by Obeli N Krishna and costarring Gautham Karthik is in postproduction with Studio Green eyeing a March 31st release worldwide. it is said that only Simbu's dubbing portion remains to be completed and the team is contemplating doing the work in Thailand itself.
