After completing Vallavan, Silambarasan chose to chill out at USA. Happy at the response for his Vallavan, Silambarasan has gone on a signing spree and has accepted to do three movies in 2007.

Silambarasan would be acting in a movie for GV Films to be directed by Thimiru fame Tharun Gopi. Then the actor has agreed to do a movie for SG Films, which has produced movies including Arindhum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal before. The movie would be directed by Silambarasan's associate Nandhu.

Towards the end of 2007, the young actor would start a film for Shereen Movie Makers. The director has not been finalized yet.

Asked whether he has bid bye to direction, Silambarasan says, “It is a difficult task, which needs great attention. After a tiring stint in Vallavan, I want to chill out for a while and concentrate on just acting for now.”

A great fan of Super Star Rajinikanth, Simbu also nurses ambitions of remaking yesteryear Rajini films.

Say Silambarasan, “I came to know that Ajith is acting in the remake of Billa. I too want to act in a few remakes of Rajinikanth’s films. I have selected few movies for it. However, it will take time and would not happen in the near future.”
