Simbu & Nelson’s shelved project to be revived soon? - Hot update

Nelson Dilipkumar is a leading Tamil director who landed a film with Superstar Rajinikanth in just three movies, that too one of them is yet to be released. The talented filmmaker worked as a director in TV channels for years and debuted in Kollywood with Lady Superstar Nayanthara starrer 'Kolamaavu Kokila'.

Following the sleeper hit 'KoKo', Nelson went on to give a blockbuster comedy thriller, 'Doctor', with Sivakarthikeyan. Currently, the director is awaiting the release of his upcoming film, 'Beast', with Thalapathy Vijay and will be directing Rajinikanth starrer 'Thalaivar 169' soon. Before becoming one of the leading directors, Nelson had reportedly planned a movie with actor Simbu, which was titled ‘Vettai Mannan’.

'Vettai Mannan' was dropped halfway without completing the shooting. It is said to be an action-thriller based on the life of the international underworld assassins. Sources say that the makers had stopped the shooting due to budget constraints back then. As both Nelson and Simbu are at the peak of their directing and acting career now, it is being reported that 'Vettai Mannan' is likely to be revived.

On the other hand, Simbu, who is relishing the success of his recent blockbuster, 'Maanadu', is currently working on Gautham Vasudev Menon's 'Vendhu Thanindhathuy Kaadu'. STR is also acting in ‘Pathu Thala’, ‘Corona Kumar’ and an untitled film with director Ashwath Marimuthu.
