Simbu is one of the highly sought-after heroes in the Tamil industry after his return. He has been busy juggling between the shoots of multiple projects. We had already updated you that STR has wrapped up shooting for his political thriller 'Maanadu' produced by Suresh Kamatchi.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Maanadu stars Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead and SJ Suryah as the antagonist. It also stars Bharathiraja, S. A. Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran and Premgi Amaren in supporting roles. The story focuses on a time loop that happens around a political meeting.

The teaser garnered huge attention among the fans as it presented the events in rewind style. The fans are waiting for the Maanadu trailer for a long time. Now, the latest report is that the makers have announced the release date of the trailer. Maanadu trailer will be premiered on Youtube on October 2nd, the Gandhi Jayanti day.

On September 26, Silambarasan took to his social media to post that he had completed dubbing for the Maanadu trailer. Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is known for his successful collaborations with Silambarasan and Venkat Prabhu, has composed the musical score of this movie. Maanadu is scheduled to be released on 4 November 2021, coinciding with Diwali day.
