We broke the news first to you much before the official announcement about Simbu's 48th film directed by Desingh Periyasamy produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. This project will be Simbu's biggest budgeted film in his career.

It is said that Simbu will be playing a different character of a warrior hero in 'STR 48' and he reportedly will be going to London to undergo special training. It is said that the training will require the mass hero to stay in Britain for more than a month and the shooting will commence as soon as he returns home in July or August.

Reliable sources inform that Keerthy Suresh is the frontrunner to play the female lead while talks are also on with Bollywood diva for a parallel lead. Similarly Anirudh is the favorite to score the music and this will be the first time that he will be working with his childhood friend Simbu in a movie.

There is huge excitement regarding 'STR 48' since it is Simbu and Kamal's first collaboration and director Desingh Periyasamy is a hot favorite of the youth ever since he made the sleeper hit 'Kannum Kannum Kolliyadithal' starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead.
