Simbu after a few years of self imposed hiatus recently made a comeback to Tamil cinema with 'Easwaran' directed by Suseenthiran and has since been on a signing spree. His next movie 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu is highly anticipated after the teaser was unveiled on his birthday a few week's back.

Simbu has posted a throwback pic when he visited Varanasi and conducted a special pooja by lighting lamps and floating them on the river Ganges there. It has been reported in some sections of the media that the pooja was for removing the roadblocks to his marriage. However if that was the case Simbu is a open book and would have mentioned it in his post.

Simbu's next lineup of films after 'Maanaadu' includes 'Pathu Thala' costarring Gautham Karthik and untitled films with directors Gautham Menon and Ram.
