Actor Simbu was last seen on screen in the movie Vandha Rajavathan varuven directed by Sundar C, and had next started shooting for the Tamil remake of Mufti and Venkat Prabhu's long delayed Maanaadu which were halted after the pandemic.

Recently the actor returned to shooting and began a quickie directed by Suseenthiran and produced by Madhav Media, and this movie has been shot in Dindigul since last week. The movie also stars Nidhhi Agerwal and Bharathiraja.

Now the actor who had quit social media in August 2017 to avoid negativity is back on all social media platforms - Twitter, Instagram, Facebook besides YouTube, and to mark his arrival , the actor has shared a stunning new video "Atman - Silambarasan TR" and the caption when the student is ready, the teacher will arrive and the video shows his physical transformation and the different kinds of workout the actor did during the lockdown phase to transform and lose weight.
