Ever since Simbu called for a press meet yesterday to condemn the lathi charge by the police on students he has been a trending personality across the social media platforms. Simbu had announced that he will wear black and stand for ten minutes in front of his house to show his protest and asked fans and the general public to follow suit from wherever they are.

Simbu kept his word today and at five was with his dad T. Rajendhar and a sizeable crowd gathered in his area wearing black. Many people in India and abroad have published in social media that they too stood at that time outside their workplaces in support of Simbu`s drive for jallikattu. Simbu never ceases to amaze whether he is making a film or his films get into trouble or he releases a questionable song. One thing that is for sure is that he is most definitely a crowd puller.
