Simbu is the name that sends his fans into a frenzy and at the same time causes producers to sweat a lot more due to his alleged late coming to the sets. The multi-faceted star put negativity behind and started shooting for his new movie 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamachi. The shooting however came to an abrupt halt not because of its star but the rampant COVID 19.

The latest buzz now is that Simbu has shot and completed a new film during the coronavirus lockdown recently. It is not a feature film but a short by Gautham Vasudev Menon titled 'Karthik Dial Seiydha Yenn' which has Simbu and Trisha returning as Karthik and Jessie from their cult classic 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvayo'.

A teaser of 'Karthik Dial Seiydha Yenn' was already released by GVM which shows Trisha speaking over the phone to Karthik asking him not to worry due to lockdown and everything will be alright and he should be writing his nice stories as OTT platforms need good content.

It is said that while Trisha completed her portions for the short film, Simbu too participated in a minimalist shooting that was held in his house itself and the whole film is about the conversation between the two over the lockdown crisis.
