In an interview to a leading Tamil daily Simbu has said that the struggles he had to go through and the hurdles he had to cross for the release of Vaalu` has made him understand who are the real people in his life.

When posed a question about why his idol Ajith remained silent on the issue Simbu has said that though he is an ardent fan of Ajith, it doesn`t mean he dislikes Vijay and even though the Illayathalapathy is known to be reserved he used to speak freely only to him whenever they have met and always moved with each other like brothers.

Simbu said that it was not necessary for Thala to come out in public as he had spoken to his dad TR in private and had prophesied Vaalu` would come out of all this mess victorious. Simbu also felt that since producer NIC Arts Chakravarthy was a friend of Ajith he might not have wanted to involve in the issues.
