This is not the time to show heroism - Simbu requests protestors

The Jallikattu protest, which went on nonviolently after gaining appreciation globally has today turned ugly due to the premature police action and a few miscreants. Simbu, the man who sparked off the silent protest, has come out with a request to all the youngsters.

Simbu has stated that “Due to the non-violent protests of students and youngsters, the government has been forced to work with the center and come out with an ordinance which will become a law soon. When the protestors wanted time to consult lawyers before discontinuing the protest, the police could have given them time and not acted prematurely.”.

Simbu has requested all the Jallikattu protestors to discontinue the agitation, as it is not the time to be heroic. He clarified that he is not issuing the statement because he is scared but he is fearing for the health and safety of all concerned. He assured that if the people are cheated by the powers that be everyone can once again protest at a later date. He finished off by saying that he is not forcing his opinion on the youngsters and it is up to them to accept him or decline.
