Simbu replaced in Indian 2

Director Shankar released the stunning first look of 'Indian 2' the sequel to his 1996 blockbuster hit 'Indian' starring Kamal Haasan. It has been announced that the shooting will start from January 18th onwards. Earlier it was reported that Simbu has been signed on to play Kamal's grandson in the film but has now been replaced by Siddharth.

Siddharth made his acting debut in Shankar's 'Boys' in 2003 and is reuniting with him after 16 years. 'Indian 2' has Kajal Agarwal as the leading lady while Anirudh is composing the music, Ravi Varman handles the camera, T. Muthuraj the production design, Sreekhar Prasad the editing and Kabilan Vairamuthu, Jayamohan and Lakshmi Saravanakumar are jointly writing the dialogues.
