The Tamil film industry especially the daily wages workers are heaving a huge sigh after the government released the order to resume shootings after five months with strict social distancing and hygiene measures. The whisper in the industry is that even though the permission has been given many top-line actors and actresses are reluctant to get back on the shooting floors in fear of the COVID 19 scare.
It is said that Simbu has taken the bold step to restart the shooting of his new movie 'Maanaadu' and has already communicated his intention to producer Suresh Kamachi and director Venkat Prabhu.
It is said that scenes that do not involve large crowds and many stars can be shot in Chennai itself and almost a month's work can be done in this safe manner with only Simbu and a few other cast members.
According to sources the 'Maanaadu' team inspired by Simbu's bold decision is gearing up to be the first project to resume shooting and the dates will be finalized in a couple of days.
'Maanaadu' with a music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja has the ensemble cast of Simbu, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Bharathiraja, S.A. Chandrasekhar, S.J. Suryah, Daniel Annie Pope, Arvind Akash and Premgi Amaran.
