Actor Simbu is now acting in his 45th movie Maanaadu, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi's V House productions. This movie is a political entertainer which also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah and Bharathiraja in important roles.

As the team is getting ready for a schedule in Hyderabad, there were various rumors on Simbu not co-operating for the shoot, and producer Suresh Kamatchi has denied them and has dismissed reports of Simbu not attending shoot from the 16th day of shoot and Simbu asking for two caravans.

Suresh Kamatchi has also denied the rumor of Simbu not willing to participate in the Hyderabad shoot, and that media must forget their old opinion about Simbu who has reduced weight and is working with dedication in Maanadu, and requested media to be supportive and help him.
