Simbu after a long absence has just returned with a bang to social media platforms and a mass buildup video has been released to herald it. The top hero is now shooting for his new movie directed by Suseenthiran in and around the Dindigul area with Nidhi Aggerwal and Bharathiraja in the cast.
Simbu is next expected to complete the remaining portions of 'Maanadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamachi that will begin in late November. Meanwhile, there is hot news about one more film that is pending in STR's list.
Simbu and Gautham Karthik started shooting for the remake of the Kannada super hit film 'Mufti' directed by Narthan who also helmed the original. Filming was abruptly stalled due to some issues and the project was put to the back burner for several months.
Now producer K.E. Gnanavelraja who is producing the 'Mufti' remake has plans to resume the project but unfortunately, Narthan is not available as he has signed a pan Indian biggie starring Yash.
Gnanavelraja has now brought director Krishna on board the Simbu-Gautham Karthik project and the shooting is expected to restart in early 2021. Krishna made his debut in the same banner with 'Sillunu Oru Kadhal' starring Suriya, Jyothika and Bhumika Chawla in the lead roles and later made 'Nedunchalai' with Aari and Sshvidha.
Krishna is currently directing 'Maane Theney Peye' with Aari once again in the lead role which is nearing completion and could do good business as the hero is now a major contestant in 'Bigg Boss 4'.
