Till the end of 2019, there was only negative and controversial news about Simbu but 2020 changed all that and he came back with a bang and shot for 'Maha' and 'Maanaadu' on-time making both the producers happy. If not for the coronavirus lockdowns both these films would have hit he screens by now and the multitalented star would have become the talk of the industry.

It is no exaggeration to say that Simbu is the most sought after hero in Tamil cinema now and we already reported that many directors including Mysskin, Badri Venkatesh and others have expressed their interest on working with him. There is also talk of him playing the lead along with Kamal Haasan in 'Sigappu Rojakkal 2' directed by Manoj K Bharathi.

Now the interesting news is that Simbu has okayed a new movie to be directed by Suseenthiran and it is said that it will be a rural subject and he will be back as a villager after a very long time. Suseenthiran has given many acclaimed films including 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu', 'Naan Mahaan Alla', 'Pandiya Naadu' and 'Jeeva' and is also known wrap up shootings very quickly.

According to sources after 'Maanaadu' or another film produced by Suresh Kamachi, Simbu will be acting in the Suseenthiran film first and it will be a quickie as well. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
