Simbu is on a new career high after the tremendous response that his recent release 'Maanaadu' recieved at the box office and on OTT. The time loop based thriller directed by Venkat Prabhu with music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja has the ensemble cast of Simbu, S.J. Suryah, Y. Gee Mahendra, SAC and Kalyani Priyadarshan.

STR is currently shooting for Gautham Menon's 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu' and will join the sets of 'Pathu Thala' costarring Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar in March first week. In mid 2022 the fans favorite star will start shooting for the comedy caper 'Corona Kumar' directed by Gokul.

Meanwhile the hot buzz in Kollywood is that Simbu has given his nod for a new romantic drama to be produced by AGS Entertainment. The film is said to have attached young director Ashwath Marimuthu who delivered 'Oh My Kadavule' starring Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, Vani Bhojan and Vijay Sethupathi as God. The film was a super hit and is being remade in several other Indian languages, Stay tuned for the official announcement.
