Actor Simbu is on a signing spree post his physical transformation and has been targeting back to back releases this year with Eeswaran released on Pongal and Maanaadu planning a summer release.

Now Simbu has signed a surprise new project and will be seen playing the lead in a movie which will be directed by debutant Gnanagiri who wrote dialogues for Vaanam. This movie is produced by Singaravelan, the vice President of Tamil Nadu movie makers Sangam.

This movie will begin shooting soon and will be released this year itself. It must be noted that this movie is made to support the financial requirements of members of the sangam. The profits of this movie will be spent to help the economically weaker members of the Tamilnadu Movie Makers association.
