Padam Kumar was one of the producers of the Simbu, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar starrer Poda Podi released in 2012, and now after 9 years, he is all set to make a return to films. Having directed several Bollywood movies as well, he is now set to make his debut as a director as well.

Deepan boopathy who had produced movies like Puriyaatha Puthir and Aakko will jointly produce Padam Kumar's next ventures, and Canada based Ninna Bains will be the co-producer. The team is planning to make three movies, and first of them will be a movie with a hero popular in Tamil and Hindi, and will have three heroines including a debutant. This movie to be directed by Padamkumar will be about a married man and what happens when his ex and another woman enter his life. This movie will have cinematography by Velraj and Art direction by Narendhar.

The second movie will be an action movie with a heroine, who is popular in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, with Vishwaroopam stunt choreographer Kesha handling action choreography, and a pan India popular music director will score music. The third movie will be an action thriller with a hero and two heroines and will be about a girl who comes from Canada to India for her acting dreams, and these movies will be promoted by Ottawa Mayor. Shoot of these movies will commence this May.
