Simbu enjoys a loyal fanbase that very few actors do whether his films release on time, do well or even if he takes a break from acting. The past few years have been quite controversial for the talented star but this year he has put it all behind him after a pilgrimage to the Lord Ayyappa temple. STR as he is fondly called is now ready to enthrall his fans by coming out with a love anthem titled 'Morattu Singilu' planned to release for Valentine's Day this February. The official caption reads "For all Morattu Singilu from the King of Singilu STR comes a singilu...February 2020...No More Singlilu...Vara Vara Morattu Angelu".

Simbu's next movie release will be 'Maha' in which he plays an extended cameo opposite ex-girlfriend Hansika Motwani. His long-delayed 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamachi is going on floors after Pongal this month. STR is also in talks for a few more projects and the announcements will come in the coming months.
