A huge controversy raged last week as producer Suresh Kamachi announced that Simbu has been removed from his proposed movie 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu as the project could not move forward even one year after its commencement. Simbu is holidaying in Thailand with his family while his father T.R. visited the Athivaradhar temple in Kancheepuram.

Speaking to newsmen TR said that even though his son is abroad he kept asking him to visit the diety as soon as possible. The veteran entertainer got emotional and stated that Athivaradhar would help him find a suitable girl for Simbu also liked by him and hoped that his prayers will be answered at the earliest.

Simbu's side of the 'Maanaadu' saga will be known once he returns home from his long holiday and he is currently starring in the Tamil remake of 'Mufti' produced by Studio Green costarring Gautham Karthik.
