Actor Simbu was supposed to begin shooting for the movie Maanaadu last year, but the shooting had been getting postponed and began only this year beginning. However, it was again halted due to the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

Now Simbu has resumed shooting, and recently completed Suseenthiran's Eeswaran and today has joined shooting of Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu. The team is planning to shoot for 45 days in Pondicherry.

Due to the pandemic situation, Maanaadu team has made strong safety and precautionary measures to ensure corona prevention and the team will undergo corona tests. Besides, Siddha specialist Veerabahu will be with the team throughout the schedule and will monitor the health of all the crew members and will be providing them with Herbal Medicines and healthy food to make sure none of them get affected by the virus.
