After ‘Podaa Podi’, Simbu is back in action with full on energy with Vijay Chander’s directorial debut ‘Vaalu’. The teaser, which released a couple of months back, promises the film to be an out-and-out STR entertainer laced with the comic timings of Santhanam and VTV Ganesh combo.

According to our sources, the shooting of ‘Vaalu’ will kick start from today in Chennai. Simbu, who is quite enthusiastic about the project, is said to be keen on to complete the film really fast. Interestingly he will render his voice for two songs in this film. The audio album of ‘Vaalu’ is expected to release soon; before the end of 2012.

After making a fine impression with ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’, the cubby bubbly Hansika is back to share the screen space with Simbu in ‘Vaalu’.

‘Vaalu’ is produced by SS Chakravarthy under Nic Arts while the music of the film is handled by S Thaman. The film is slated to be a Pongal 2013 release.
