We all know that Simbu and Gautham Karthik came together for 'Pathu Thala', directed by Obeli Krishna. The movie bankrolled by Studio Green and Pen Studios was the remake of the Kannada gangster drama 'Mufti'. Pathu Thala was released on March 30 and emerged as Simbu's career-best opening and ended up as a highly profitable venture.

Now, the espionage flick is all set to make its digital debut next week. Pathu Thala will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 27. The streaming platform announced the same with a new poster featuring Simbu and Gautham Karthik. They captioned, "a thrilling action treat with a captivating storyline that’s certain to leave an impact long after the story ends #PathuThalaOnPrime, Apr 27" (sic).

STR portrays the gangster AGR, the King of the land mafia while Gautham Karthik plays a cop in disguise who sets out to spy on AGR. The movie also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Menon, Teejay, Kalaiyarasan, Joe Malloori, and Redin Kingsley. Pathu Thala has music scored by Oscar Nayagan AR Rahman with Farook J Basha as the DOP and Praveen KL as the editor.
