Red hot updates on pre-production and shooting of Simbu’s ‘STR 48’!

We all know that Simbu announced his magnum opus project ‘STR 48’ after the success of ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’. Desingh Periasamy of ‘Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithal’ fame was the project’s director, produced by Kamal Haasan under the banner Raaj Kamal Films International.

The shooting for ‘STR 48’ hadn’t commenced yet even after months of the film’s announcement. This movie is said to start production next month. According to Vikatan, the makers clarified that the filming is yet to begin because the project requires extensive pre-production which is going on now. We have to wait for an official word.

‘STR 48’ is a historical action film. The shooting is going to take place on the sets. The sets will be prepared based on the storyboards and details instructed by the VFX team. A team of 30 graphics professionals are working at Raaj Kamal Films office for ‘STR 48’ as it is going to be a monumental film like ‘Baahubali’ and ‘RRR’.

Simbu flew abroad earlier for physical training for his role in ‘STR 48’ earlier. He is currently in Dubai and has been preparing his physique for this film. Reportedly, STR will be back in Chennai at the end of this month as the filming commences in February. This news is now doing rounds on the internet. More details awaited.
