Simbu, who was last seen on screen in Sundar C’s ‘Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven’ is expected to commence work on his upcoming political-thriller ‘Maanadu,’ directed by Venkat Prabhu, soon.

Meanwhile, he has made his comeback as a playback singer and has crooned a song with Sanjana Kalmanje for Siddharth's upcoming untitled film. The completed details of the same are expected to be announced soon.

Simbu recently underwent a training program in London to lose weight for Maanaadu, his first-time venture with Venkat Prabhu.
