It is already known that Simbu is set to join hands with director Gokul for ‘Corona Kumar’, bankrolled by Ishari K Ganesh’s Vels Films International. Meanwhile, a recent speculation that surfaced over the internet recently claimed that the project might be shelved due to a salary dispute between the actor and the producer.
Now, credible sources have reported that the movie’s director has slammed all the rumours surrounding the internet. According to ETimes, Gokul affirmed that ‘Corona Kumar’ can never be dropped. The filmmaker has confirmed that the project is very much on and has no plans of being shelved. He also assured to share more details once the film starts rolling.
‘Corona Kumar’ is reported to be a dark comedy thriller, and a sequel to the director’s previous super hit film ‘Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara’, starring Vijay Sethupathi. Fahadh Faasil is said to be playing a crucial role, while Vijay Sethupathi is likely to essay a cameo role. Silambarasan will start shooting for this once he completes work for ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ and ‘Pathu Thala’.
