Simbu is unique as far as fan following is concerned as the loyalty from them is not based on his films becoming hits or flops and is irrespective of public image as well. Thats why he respects his fans the most and when he heard that his fan club president in Cuddalore was infected by the deadly COVID 19 he called him on the phone and instilled the much needed confidence.
The young fan Simbu Anandan worked in the Koyambedu market and tested positive for coronavirus and is admitted in his hometown government hospital where he was being treated for the sixth day. According to those in the hospital Simbu brought cheer to the patient by narrating an incident that happened in his childhood while playing cricket in the ground.
According to Simbu someone thew a javelin which struck a young father in his chest and he was with a small child too. The person out of breath and in severe pain told the people around that he would definitely live to protect his child and ask them to take him to the hospital. Simbu shared that the man's confidence made his fight back to life from the severe injury and likewise Anandan should also build confidence to fight the coronavirus. Truly a much needed piece of advice from the much loved star.
Simbu's current movie on floors stalled by the coronavirus pandemic is 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu which has the ensemble cast of Kalyani Priyadarshan, Bharathiraja, SAC, Premgi Amaran, Karunakaran and Arvind Akash.
