It is almost a year since Atman Simbu's 'STR 48' was announced. This project, directed by Desingh Periasamy, is touted to be a historical drama made on a huge scale under Raaj Kamal Films International's production. The shooting hasn't begun yet owing to the extensive pre-production.

Simbu is said to play dual roles in this film as the hero and villain. He took severe physical training for his roles in 'STR 48'. We already broke to you that the team will unveil the first look on STR's birthday (Feb 3) and the shooting will commence right after. Now, RKFI dropped a hot update on the movie on social media.

The production house wrote, "#STR48 making its First Twinkle on 2nd February. Let the Celebrations Begin!" As per the reports, the film's title will be revealed with a glimpse video on Simbu's birthday eve. This news is now doing rounds on the internet. Sources tell us that Keerthy Suresh and Pooja Hegde are in talks for the female lead roles while Devi Sri Prasad is the frontrunner to compose music.
