Simbu has not had a smooth sailing professionally throughout the year as his movie 'Maanaadu' was stalled for almost a year due to his non-cooperation and the producer Suresh Kamachi severed ties with him and announced that the film will proceed with another hero.  A few week's back Simbu's mother Usha Rajendhar had a meeting with members of the Producers Council and had come to a compromise and a new agreement has been signed.

It is now reported that Simbu is going to be on a spiritual mode and will be donning the Ayyappan garb from November 5th which will continue for forty days and then he will be walking to the mountainous Ayyappan temple in Kerala.  Simbu is to embrace the austerity for the Lord Ayyappan after 27 years since he did it during the making of 'Enga Veettu Velan' in 1992.  Once back from the spiritual journey Simbu will go straight to the shooting of his next which in all likelihood will be 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu.
