In this digital age celebrities can get into trouble just by posing for a selfie or video with persons claiming to be their fans. One such person Prabhu has used a video of Simbu and a photograph of Anirudh to make people believe that he is a big businessman and has duped unwitting students into paying large sums of money.
Prabhu advertised on social media such as Facebook and Whatsapp that he is a businessman from London running the Ruskin College of Business. He has doctored a video to suggest that Simbu launched the logo in London. However on closer look it can be seen that he is an insignificant person who has no proximity with Simbu. Similarly he has also posted a photo in which he is hugging music composer Anirudh.
Prabhu has promised students that he could get them high paying jobs in Armenia and has procured rupees three lakhs from several persons. He had then sent them on tourist visas and the youth found that the country was ten times backward than India with low money value. The youngsters reportedly suffered in hunger and had to get help from their parents to get back to India.
A police complaint has been lodged against Prabhu and the victims are hoping that severe action is taken against him.
