Thala - Thalapathy director joins Simbu after a decade!

Actor Simbu who was last seen on screen in Vanthaa Rajavathaan Varuven is next acting in the movie Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi's V House productions, this movie is a political entertainer which will have Simbu playing a character named Abdul Khaaliq.
The team has now announced that this movie will also star director and actor SJ Suryah in an important role. It must be noted that SJ Suryah had launched a movie named AC before 15 years with Simbu and Asin in lead roles but due to several issues, the movie was dropped.
Maanaadu also stars Bharathiraja, SA Chadrasekaran, Manoj, Premgi, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Karunakaran, YG Mahendran, Daniel Anne Pope and many others and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Maanaadu will begin shooting next week in Sri Lanka, as per sources.
