After raking up a controversy with his part in ‘3 Idiots’ Tamil, Silambarasan took off to London to take part in 'Podaa Podi' shoot the very next day after attending the Filmfare Awards function. Silambarasan left Chennai along with producer ‘VTV’ Ganesh.

After landing in London, Silambarasan flew to Toronto in Canada and had his hair style done for the film from the reputed TONY&GUY Salon. It cost Silambarasan Rs. 60,000 to do his hair there.

Silambarasan will start shooting for 'Podaa Podi' in London from tomorrow. The London schedule of ‘Podaa Podi’ is of 40 days, out of which the first 25 days are being used for the talkie portions and the remaining days for song picturisations. The heroine of the film Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar is already in London and rehearsing for the dances with her troupe.

The films director Vignesh Siva and producer ‘VTV’ Ganesh are also doing cameos in the film.
