Simbu the multitalented entertainer of Kollywood after a long time made a strong comeback with 'Maanaadu' in 2021. The Venkat Prabhu directorial produced by Suresh Kamachi and costarring S.J. Suryah was a blockbuster hit catupulting most of those associated with it to the next level.

'Maanaadu' was Simbu's 47th film while 'Pathu Thala' and 'Corona Kumar' will be the 48th and 49th respectively. The buzz in Ktown is that Simbu's landmark 50th film will be helmed by renowned director Ram.
