Simbu to reunite with this legendary filmmaker for ‘STR50’? – Here’s what we know

Simbu, one of the versatile actors in Tamil cinema, treated his fans with back-to-back best performances in ‘Maanadu’ and ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’. Now, he has joined hands with the trendsetting director Desingh Periasamy under Kamal Haasan’s production for his next, ‘STR48’.

While the actor is physically training for his role in the upcoming magnum opus, reports broke out that Gautham Menon will direct STR in his 49th movie with production by Vels Films International. According to the latest reports, Silambarasan TR will be collaborating with a legendary director for the second time for his milestone 50th project with music by AR Rahman.

We hear that Mani Ratnam will direct Simbu in ‘STR50’ and the massive project will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan under the banner Raaj Kamal Films International. Meanwhile, some other sources claim that Simbu will do an important role in the Kamal Haasan starrer ‘KH234’ directed by Mani Ratnam and this is tagged as ‘STR50’ on the internet. We have to wait for an official word to get clarity.
